As you can tell from the change in temperature, it's becoming time to winterize your pool.
Here's a couple quick tips to consider:
- Start by checking the pH level of your pool, confirming it is near 7.5
- Check the chlorine level, to make sure algae doesn't accumulate during the winter
- Run your pump about 6 hours each day to prevent algae build-up
- Check for any leaks
- Switch your skimmer valve off and drain water about 6 inches below the skimmers bottom
- Clean your summer winter cover
- Drain water from your pump, filter, and heater (look for a drain plug!)
